A 300-year-old village pub could close because of falling trade.
An application by owner Peter Thorneywork to convert the White Hart in Adderbury, near Banbury, into a private house is set to be approved by Cherwell District Council's north area planning committee tonight.
Adderbury Parish Council backed the idea, saying the village could not sustain as many pubs as it had in the past.
Four letters objecting to the application were received from residents in Adderbury, Banbury, and Lower Heyford.
