BREAKS of 58 from Steve Waters and 67 from Karl Walker helped Oracle A to a 5-1 victory over Thame B as they moved top of Premier & Division 1 in the Oxford & District Snooker League.
Waters got Oracle off to a flying start, as he beat Mark Syrett, then Garrie Sadler and Stuart Fenwick shared their two frames.
Walker wrapped the match up with a 2-0 win over Brian Dicker.
Youngster Oliver Hoeblyn was on fire again as he and Nolan Aselford put Rileys A into an unassailable lead against Morris Motors A.
Hoeblyn beat David Bough, while Aselford won both frames against Zack Cheema, before Stuart McGhie and Gary Bough shared the final two frames to give Rileys a 5-1 win.
Thame A and County A shared the spoils in a match which saw each player win a frame.
Darren Kitching raised the highest break in Division 2 to 58 as Oracle C beat House Club B 4-2 to take over top spot in the table.
Kitching's break came in the first frame of the evening as he beat Keith Philpot.
Richard Berry then edged Paul Larkins in two closely-fought frames before Mike Auger beat Mike Rainford to give the scoreline an air of respectability.
Chilton A became the first team to avoid defeat at the hands of Oxford Snooker A in Division 3 this season.
Lee Barter won the opening frames for Chilton against James Stone, before his dad Chris, beat Steve Charlton.
This set up a tense final pairing between Ian Santos and Martin Charlton. Santos made a break of 32 in frame 5, but it was Charlton who ended up winning the frame by three points.
It was just as close in the final frame. This time, Santos triumphed by two points.
The highest break in Division 4 was increased to 35, by Steve Mill, of Witney C, during their 5-1 victory against Littlemore RBL A.
