OXFORD United's new-look back line will face a stern challenge when they come up against one of Division 3's most lethal strike partnerships at The Kassam Stadium today.
York City's front duo of Michael Procter and Lee Nogan have hit 11 goals between them this season, and face only one of United's first-choice defenders as the home side look to build on their 1-0 victory at Hartlepool last week.
As Wayne Hatswell and Scott Guyett are both suspended, United boss Mark Wright has to shuffle his pack, with Jon Richardson and either Sam Ricketts or Simon King coming in to play alongside Phil Bolland.
With Bolland and Paul Moody both winning appeals against red cards which would have brought three-match suspensions starting today, Wright's problems have been eased. But he is still without nine players through injury and suspension.
Manny Omoyinmi (thigh) is not fully fit, but should be able to take his place on the bench, while Moody and Jamie Brooks are expected to continue their partnership up front.
Procter is a real fans' favourite at York, having scored six goals since his arrival on loan from Sunderland. And this week, he put pen to paper on an extended loan deal, which will see him stay at Bootham Crescent until the end of the season.
Nogan came through the ranks at Oxford, and made 75 appearances for the U's before being sold to Watford for £350,000 in December 1991.
Now with his tenth different club, Nogan has scored five goals this season, and has forged a good partnership with Procter - and that is where the visitors will pose most danger.
Procter was on the mark last week, netting in injury time as the Minstermen beat Macclesfield 1-0.
But while their strike force is one of the best in the league, York have conceded the most goals away from home in Division 3, a less-than-impressive 19 from eight games on their travels.
