More than 5,000 people flocked to the Bicester Round Table's annual fireworks display and bonfire night on Saturday.
Families thronged Pingle Field, off Pingle Drive, to see £3,000-worth of fireworks light up the clear skies.
Robert Douglas, press officer for the Round Table, said: "With people booking early we were able to avoid the queues we had last year when the display had to be delayed to ensure everyone was in the field.
"We hope people are catching on to the idea of pre-booking."
Entertainment also included a disco, a fun fair and a selection of food stalls.
The display raises money for Round Table's charity fund to be spent on worthy local causes.
Mr Douglas said: "We do not know yet how much was made, but it should be a fair amount."
Bicester town mayor Lawrie Stratford will present prizes in the next fortnight to children from several primary schools, who took part in a fireworks art competition.
