A hand-over ceremony at the Said Business School took place last night (Monday) amid fresh demonstrations by anti-capitalist protesters.
About 50 people, including students and anti-war protestors, gathered outside the building in Park End Street, Oxford, shouting slogans and holding banners.
A 27-year-old student, arrested under section 14 of the public order for failing to comply with a condition of assembly, was later released, after questioning, on police bail.
Yesterday morning, a man scaled the £36m University building to coincide with the official hand-over of the controversial business school to Oxford University.
Police were called just before 6am yesterday when a man, whom supporters named as 'Robert', scaled a metal column and unfurled a 20 ft banner with the slogan 'Built With Blood Money'.
Demonstrators claim that Wafic Said, the Syrian benefactor after whom the school is named, has connections with the arms trade.
'Robert', 30, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful trespass and taken to Cowley Police Station for further questioning.
He was later released on police bail.
