On Sunday, Stars came back from a goal down to beat Milton Keynes 6-3 to make it eight wins out of eight.
Without the suspended Steven Cameron and the injured James Roberts, as well as Alex Eberhardt, youngsters Luke Plasted and Daniel Summers came in.
Stars recovered well after Milton Keynes took the lead through Ferry, Haigh, Cameron, and an Abbott double.
Milton Keynes then scored twice before Paul Donohoe skated the length of the ice, rounded several Thunder players, before firing home.
