Camberley Tn 2, Abingdon Tn 0
ABINGDON Town are four points adrift at the bottom of the Ryman League Division 3 table, and still without a league win all season after losing out to their nearest rivals.
To compound their problems Town also missed a penalty.
Abingdon failed to turn their early dominance into chances and were punished on 28 minutes when Camberley scored their opener with a simple header.
Town almost levelled, but Paul Sherwood scuffed his shot and went close again when his goalbound effort from Ben Border's cross was hacked off the line by a defender.
After the break, Town came out in more determined mood and had a glorious chance to equalise on 57 minutes when Roger Charles was brought down by the Camberley keeper.
Sadly for Town, who have scored just three goals on their travels, Greig skied his penalty attempt over the bar. And they were left to rue the miss when Camberley scored their second six minutes from time.
**Abingdon Tn: Torres, Hamilton, Burden, Beauchamp, Border (Scanes 69), Creer (Trinder 45), Didcock, Charles, Sherwood, Greig (Morgan 69), Gardner.
