A man has been attacked as he walked home from a pub in Abingdon.
He was pushed over from behind and his legs and groin were slashed with a knife.
The 20-year-old man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Headington, Oxford, but he was later discharged.
The man had left the Blue Boar pub, Lower Bath Street, shortly before 11pm yesterday.
Police said that after leaving the pub, he walked into the town centre, down High Street, Stratton Way, Bath Street and then into Faringdon Road.
He was attacked outside Larkmead School in Faringdon Road.
PC Nick Bedwell, of Abingdon Police, said: "Unfortunately this attack happened so fast that the victim is not able to give us any description of his attacker."
Anyone who may have seen the man on his way home is urged to call Abingdon Police on 01235 556850 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
