The popular BBC One's Sunday evening programme Antiques Roadshow opens its doors to the public when it visits Witney on Thursday, November 8.

Presenter Michael Aspel will introduce the programme, which will be recorded at the Windrush Leisure Centre in Witan Way.

Some of Britain's leading antiques and fine art specialists will be on hand to offer free advice and valuations to visitors.

Mr Aspel said: "This year I've enjoyed meeting people from all parts of the country and we've even just returned from making two shows in Canada. Sadly, Witney will be the last recording of this series."

Producer Christopher Lewis said: "On an average day at the Roadshow we see about 1,500 people."

The roadshow's doors open at 9.30am and close at 4pm.
