Headington Roadrunners' long-standing member Will Atkinson crossed the line at Ascott-under-Wychwood to be presented with a pint of beer.
His favourite tipple was awarded to him with a warm round of applause from his clubmates, in recognition of his finishing his 50th Oxford Mail League race.
In a career which started with a 47th place at Bletchingdon in November 1990, Atkinson went on to record a best place of 33rd in several of the races, and an injury-stricken worst of 139th.
His commitment over the years has seen him record 30 A team finishes in his prime, nine B team scores, ten C and one D.
His A team finishes are only surpassed by his great rival, the ageless Barry Burlingham.
Burlingham, with 32 A team scores to his credit, congratulated Atkinson at the finish.
