An Oxfordshire estate is opening its gates to the public for the first time next week -- thanks to red kites.
The birds of prey have a major roost near Ibstone, which is on the border between Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, near Watlington.
And on Tuesday, November 13, the Red Kites In The Chilterns project has been given the go-ahead to walk the path with visitors to see the birds.
Project officer Cathy Rose said: "The walk is free but numbers are limited.
"The Litmore Shaw Estate, where the walks take place, is undergoing major conservation refurbishment under the Countryside Stewardship Council and we are grateful for the chance to walk on its paths. We should see Kites there but there will also be the chance of seeing countryside conservation in action."
To join the walk, which starts at 2pm, call 01844 271306 or 07765 353212.
