Colchester Utd Res 0, Oxford Utd Res 1
Oxford United's reserves continued their good run - they have lost only two out of ten - with victory at Layer Road in the Avon Insurance Combination last night.
The winner came on 75 minutes when Sam Ricketts went on a forceful run following a pass from player coach Mike Ford, and was brought down in the box. Jordan Holder sent the keeper the wrong way from the penalty spot.
Jon Richardson, who had played at Leyton Orient the previous night, was excellent in defence, while Chris Hackett had a fine match at right wingback.
Andy Scott was unable to play in the match. He is still recovering from the setback he had with his hamstring injury last week.
Oxford Utd Res: Knight, Lovegrove, Richardson, King, Hackett, Zenguinlan, Ricketts, Folland (Ford 60), McIntosh, Sylla (Carbon 75), Holder.
