Staff at a national charity based at Harwell are still dispatching pink ribbons more than a month after Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The pink ribbon badges have become an international symbol of breast cancer, and the charity Against Breast Cancer, based at Harwell Business Centre, is still busy with requests and interest from across the country.

Recently appointed new chief executive Ginny Scrope said: "Thanks to organisers of fashion shows, and other events, more than £15,000 was raised in October for breast cancer research in Oxford- shire."

Pink ribbon badges are still available. The charity also has a selection of Christmas cards in pack of ten ranging in price from £3.99 to £4.99, which are available from its headquarters at Curie Avenue, Harwell.

Postage is 50p for up to seven packs, and free for orders of eight or more packs. Call 01235 830777 or send an e-mail to info@aabc.org.uk.
