Standlake Arena's premier Banger meeting of the year, the Heavy Metal Classic, takes place this Sunday, with £2,000 prize money to be won.
Over the last three years, this meeting has become the biggest in the country and this year 180 racers have booked in.
The meeting sees two classes of banger racing, under 1800cc and over 1800cc, with 20 action-packed races starting at 12 noon.
Included in the line-up are three Rolls Royces and several big American cars. There will also be a number of old rare cars taking to the track.

**TOP locals at Sunday's meeting were Oxford racers Gary Trafford and Stuart Talbot, who took first and second places in the Saloon Rod final.
Thame's Keith Richens won his first Hot Rod final in a Sierra.
