Thame United boss Andy Sinnott says his side needs to start winning soon, or face the prospect of a bleak second half of the season.
Thame haven't won in the league since October 27 - a run stretching back eight games, but they host Uxbridge tomorrow in Ryman League Division 1 hoping to complete the double over the Middlesex team.
"It's all a confidence thing," Sinnott said. "There is a very thin dividing line between winning and losing. We played some good stuff against Aylesbury last week, but got nothing out of the game.
"It's now getting to a stage where we have to win at all costs, it's as simple as that. I know that sounds like harsh words, but the players are good enough, and they need a wake-up call."
There is a doubt over the fitness of defender Martin Brown, who was involved in a car accident on New Year's Eve and is suffering from whiplash.
New signing Brynley Spence is on stand-by to make his first-team debut after impressing in the reserves.
"Brynley was outstanding last week at Maidenhead," said Sinnott. "He probably deserves a chance in the first team."
Striker Mick Swaysland has recovered from flu and is back in the squad.
Thame Utd (v Uxbridge, home): from Foster, Saulsbury, Avery, Brown, Williams, Potter, Cort, Swaysland, Perna, Smith, Curran, West, Lee, Louis, Spence, Merritt.
Oxford City host struggling Whyteleafe, who are just one place above the relegation zone.
Steve Arkins has had the plaster removed from a broken hand, and could be in line for a recall, but faces a late fitness test.
Meanwhile, manager Paul Lee has sung the praises of his young Oxford United stars Jorden Holder and Kelvin McIntosh, who joined the club on loan.
"Jorden is doing really well for us. He's already scored twice, and looks really lively, which is what you'd expect, coming from a pro club. Kelvin is also looking really sharp. It's been a really good experiment and is useful for all concerned. It is giving them competitive games and has given us a real lift too."
Nick McRae is going to Hellenic League side Highworth Town on a month's loan to get some match fitness after recovering from the injuries sustained in the car accident in October, while Matty Hayward (knee) and Mickey Lewis (back and knee) are still sidelined.
Oxford City (v Whyteleafe, home): from Nelson, Dark, Woodhouse, Thorp, Farley, McIntosh, Smith, Wimble, Holder, Ferreira, Druce, Mitchell, Wise, Whitehead, Fontaine, Arkins.
Abingdon Town manager Alan Thorne has been able to name an unchanged squad from the side that won 3-0 at Leighton for their home game against promotion-chasing Bracknell Town in Division 3.
Thorne is encouraged by his side's form in recent weeks, and believes it's only a matter of a time before they pull away from the basement.
"The last 12 games we've been fairly consistent," he said. "We've only lost three of those, won six and drawn three. That sort of form isn't relegation material. If we had started like this, we would have been mid-table."
Abingdon Tn (v Bracknell Tn, home): from Torres, Trinder, Burden, Beauchamp, Muttock, Thomas, Creer, Watts, Border, Charles, Didcock, Sherwood, Renondo, Scanes, Searl, Squires, Smith.
Banbury United hope to continue their good home record against Burnham, who have lost their last four games. They are boosted by the return of top scorer Matty Gooderick who has recovered from an ankle ligament injury. John Corbett is also back, after serving a one-match suspension.
Banbury Utd (v Burnham, home): from Tricker, Fuller, Sullivan, Wallbridge, Joyce, Muckleberg, Simpson, Corbett, Redknap, O'Neil, Milner, McKay, Travers, Gooderick.
