A burst main left up to 1,000 villagers near Banbury without water for almost 12 hours overnight.
A pipe broke in two places in Southam Road, Banbury, at about 4pm yesterday.
Although supplies to the town were unaffected, the fault cut supplies to Great and Little Bourton, Cropredy, Claydon, Williamscot and Wardington until 5am today.
