A property sales manager is erupting into a new venture this year -- attempting to climb three Italian volcanoes.
Christine Gibbons, new homes sales and PR manager of Cluttons, is taking on the challenge for the charity Clic (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood).
Over three days in May, she will climb Stromboli, Vesuvius and Mount Etna, which is still bubbling following last year's eruption. She hopes to raise at least £4,000.
Cheering her on will be her grandson Joshua Miles, five, from Witney, where schools have been helping to raise money.
Mrs Gibbons, 57, has organised a charity golf tournament for the past two years, which has raised thousands of pounds for Clic. The next will take place at Studley Wood Golf Club in September, and she is holding a mini tournament on May 4 as a send-off, with a barbecue, music and dancing.
