Thieves caused damage to two vehicles when they set fire to a stolen car.
Firefighters had to use breathing apparatus while they tackled the blaze at Oxford Saab, Cumnor Hill, Oxford, yesterday.
The stolen car was set alight, damaging other cars in the garage car park.
Nine minutes earlier, firefighters had been called to another car fire in the car park of the Eight Bells pub, Eaton, which a brigade spokesman said was also "probably caused by arsonists".
Police said there was nothing to link the two incidents. No-one at Oxford Saab or the pub was available to comment.
Firefighters were called when bedroom curtains caught fire at a house in Wharton Road, Headington, Oxford, last night. The fire had been put out before they arrived.
