Model railways attracted more than 1,000 enthusiasts over the weekend.
The toy version of a currently troubled industry proved as popular as ever at an exhibition in Exeter Hall, Kidlington.
Continental and steam versions were among the interests, running on a variety of different gauge layouts put up by model buffs.
The hosts were the 33rd Oxford (Kidlington) Scout Group, which raises valuable funds from the show, which has now been running for many years.
Ron Shewry, group scout leader, said: "We have had all age ranges coming in, including many parents with their children.
"You often wonder whether the parents are more keen than the youngsters, but good luck to them. It's a good show."
The exhibition was boosted by an array of trade stands from model makers and groups for enthusiasts. Profits will go towards running expenses for scouts in Kidlington and surrounding villages.
