Civil Service keep up perfect record
Bicester Civil Service ended the first half of the Oxford Mail Quiz League season as they began.
They won their match against the House of Windsor 86-52 and extended their unbeaten run to a spectacular eight wins out of eight, remaining the team to beat.
Elsewhere, the Blue Boar overcame the Chequers 71-66 and the Jolly Postboys defended their position as leaders in the Oxford Division by beating the Rose & Crown 63-57.
The closest match of the week was between the Wise Alderman and the Woodman which ended in a 71-70 victory to the Wise Alderman.
In the Blockbuster competition, Bicester Civil Service holding the top slot but are being hotly pursued the Woodman, Red Lion, Kings Arms and Cherwell Club who are all within striking distance.
The competition resumes on Thursday January 10 after the Christmas and New Year break.
