A man smashed down a front door and assaulted the householder in his bedroom, a court was told.
Richard Tremlett, 30, of Barns Road, Cowley, Oxford, broke down the front door of Robert Taylor's home in Sorrel Avenue, Blackbird Leys, Oxford, entered his bedroom, and hit him in the face, on June 7 last year.
Tremlett was yesterday found guilty at Oxford Crown Court of burgling Mr Taylor's home and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm.
Geraldine Alder, 36, of Barns Road, Cowley, was found not guilty of burglary and attempting to inflict grievous bodily harm, and not guilty of assault causing actual bodily harm.
Mr Taylor, his son Jason, 17, and Charlotte Trinder, 16, Ms Alder's daughter and Jason Taylor's girlfriend, were living at Sorrel Road at the time of the assault.
