A 29-year-old man who had served time in prison hanged himself less than two months after he was released, an inquest heard.
Sandy Lowes was found hanging from a tree by a woman walking with her granddaughter in woodland near Bankside, Banbury, on September 16 last year.
Mr Lowes, who was living at Fairview Lodge, Banbury, at the time of his death, had served a prison sentence for burglary from December 12,1997 until July 27 last year.
The deceased's father, David Lowes, of Middleton Cheney, near Banbury, said: "He was very depressed about not getting any help from the authorities when he was released."
Karen Sullivan, from Banbury Probation Service, said Mr Lowes had kept all his appointments with her.
Oxfordshire coroner Nicholas Gardiner recorded a verdict that Mr Lowes took his own life by hanging himself.
