West Oxfordshire's scheme to promote and reward talented young people in the arts and sports is to be expanded.
An extra £5,000 will be included in next year's budget as a grant pool for "high achievers".
This is in addition to the £16,000 already dedicated to help youngsters with equipment, training and competition costs.
A total of 75 youngsters benefited from the Achievement Award Scheme in December at a presentation evening in Witney where they were presented with certificates.
The scheme is run by the district council to reward dedication in all aspects of sport and the arts.
Council cabinet member Cllr Louise Chapman said: "It's a great scheme. Those youngsters who are our higher achievers deserve extra recognition."
