Woodstock Town Council has been given the opportunity to build low-cost housing in the town by a property developer.
Shalfleet Property made the offer in exchange for planning permission to build on 55 acres of land it owns in Old Woodstock, behind Hill Rise and Rosamund Drive.
The developer has proposed to build 45 three- to- five bedroom homes and 20 socially affordable ones on seven acres of land and build a pedestrian crossing across the River Glyme.
