OXFORD United have announced the appointment of two new associate directors.
Richard Faulkner is a trustee of the Foundation for Sport and the Arts, a member of Sport England's safer sports group panel, a director of Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and member of the all-party sports and football groups.
He was appointed to the House of Lords as Lord Faulkner of Worcester in July 1999 and regularly speaks to the House on sports and football issues, and was minister in charge of the Millennium Dome.
The other new director is Martin Matthews, who has been an Oxford season ticket-holder since the 80s. A member of the FA Council since 1992, he currently sits on the FA disciplinary committee, instructional commitee ad the education and schools committee.
The two new men join Bill Smith and Brendon Cross as associate directors and will work alongside directors
Fenton Higgins and Ashwini Tawakley on the United board, who were due to meet at the Kassam Stadium today.
Chairman Kassam said: "I am delighted to welcome Richard and Martin to the club. They bring a range of experience and skills to the club, and I am sure they will be valuable contributors at board level."
