County A cruised to the top of the Oxford & District League Premier Division with a resounding 6-0 victory over struggling Thame C.
County have now picked up 17 points from their last 18, while by contrast, Thame C have now lost 17 from their last 18.
James Tatton started the rout, comfortably beating Darren Belcher, while Tom Fletcher fared no better against Richard Tatton. Jimmy Ewers was made to fight in the fifth frame, with Dave White eventually losing out on a respotted black, but Ewers claimed the final frame more convincingly.
Ashton A put an end to a run of five straight defeats against Morris Motors A.
Pete Fenn beat Gary Bough in the opening frames to open Ashton's account, but the lead was short lived when Malcolm Bough beat Tony Brayshaw.
Morris's moved ahead when David Bough beat Terry Chambers, who steadied himself to win the final frame and claim a draw.
Riley A moved ten points clear at the head of the Division 1 teams, beating their nearest rivals Thame B 5-1. Thame's only point came courtesy of Mark Syrett in the first frame of the evening in a close encounter with Oliver Hoeblyn who took frame two. Garrie Sadler and Brian Dicker then lost out to Nolan Aselford and Staurt McGhie respectively.
In Division 2, Woodstock A relinquished their grip at the top, following a 4-2 defeat at the hands of House Club B who move to within striking distance of the top.
Mark Bowerman was comprehensively beaten by Mike Auger, with Woodstock's frames coming from Stuart Reeve and Justin Page who drew with Keith Philpott and Paul Larkins.
Mike Rainford and Bob Chivers beat Pete Astall and Bob Lomas, before Mick Lomas scored County's consolation frame with a draw against Richard Berry.
Eynsham A went down 4-2 at home to local rivals Witney B, with Simon Barker and Terry Cook establishing a 4-0 lead before Robbie Langton restored Eynsham pride by beating Steven Hedges.
Central Conservative Club recorded a repeat of their Sherlock Cup success over Cowley Conservative Club with a 4-2 league win.
Cowley's Ken Olive shared the opening frames with Jim Smart (Jnr) whilst Tony Moffatt shared the final frames with Mark Bayliss.
In between, Jim Alder lost to Jim Smart (Snr).
Littlemore A picked up a much needed win, beating Eynsham B.
Robert Dunn and Mark Barrett took the first four frames from Simon Harbour and Jason Stubbs before Alan Wakefield secured Eynsham's frames by beating Terry Winstone.
Headington RBL posted only their second win of the season, thanks to a 4-2 victory over Thame F.
Tony Swatton began by winning his frames against Marcus Mills, with Brian Simmonds beating Tim Burrell to win Headington's other two frames after Elaine Cox had been beaten by Tye Edwards.
