The Sutton Courtenay trainer Ian Wills was on fire with a superb five-timer at Thursday's meeting, but one of the quintet, Unique Stuff, went a shade too fast for the stewards' liking.
Stuff led every yard of the way, and victory was never in doubt once she trapped.
However, the stewards called a preliminary inquiry after the fawn bitch clocked 36.76, just outside El Tara's 595m track record.
Athlacca Sally (2-1), Nikita Park (7-2), Elmcrown Daniel (3-1) and Monroe Ali (7-2) completed the handsome five-timer.
The first trial session back after the festive period proved disappointing with only a handful of runners passed off for grading.
Vimmerby Boy sparkled over four bends posting 27.48, while Goodluckandtanks recorded a handy 37.59 over the six bends.
Track record holder over 595m El Tara, back after a seasonal rest, returned 37.44 in a solo spin.
