Oxfordshire Senior Cup

Quarry Nomads 1, Bicester Tn 0

Quarry ran out worthy winners as they dominated this third-round tie against Hellenic Premier Division Bicester and the only shock was that the scoreline wasn't more emphatic.

Quarry took a half-time lead through a cracking goal from Jamie Brackett, who carved his way through the Bicester defence to place the ball beyond the reach of Richard Darvill in the Bicester goal.

Division 1 East side Quarry were outstanding after the break.James Ford, Brackett and Andrew Maisey all went close, while Liam O'Callaghan rattled the crossbar as they looked to put the game beyond Bicester.

The visitors had a succession of corners late in the game, but the Quarry defence, well marshalled by the outstanding Francis Fox, dealt with them all with ease.

Hook Norton 3, Chipping Norton 2

(aet, golden goal)

In a thrilling local derby, Hooky edged through by virtue of a golden goal in the 109th minute from hat-trick hero Greg Shawyer.

Hooky were the more dominant force in the first half and went ahead on 29 minutes with a superbly worked goal from Shawyer.

Within a minute of the second half, Chippy equalised through Andrew Helby and only a minute later, the snatched the lead when Helby once more pounced after a free kick came back of the woodwork.

Hooky levelled on 59 minutes when Shawyer spectacularly lashed the ball home from 25 yards but neither side could break through again.

Chippy's Aslam Sultane was sent off for a scything tackle in extra time and the home side struck again in the gathering gloom when Shawyer settled the tie.

Middle Barton 7, Highfield OB 0

In-form Middle Barton showed no mercy to Oxon Senior Leaguers Highfield as they hit seven without reply, with all the goals coming in the second half.

Highfield had the best of the early exchanges and it needed some stout defending to keep the scores level at the break.

Just after the hour as the Highfield visibly tired, Middle Barton opened the scoring with a fine effort from Andy Roby.

After that the floodgates opened. Andy Hambis scored the second a minute later and Ian Fraser made it three.

Roby and Fraser both got a second and Ben Redknap and Tony Bott completed the scoring.
