Keith Jones got an unusual 40th birthday present -- entry to the London Marathon.
Mr Jones, of Severn Close, Bicester, hopes to raise £2,000 for the Amy Young Fund.
The fund has been set up by friends and family of six-year-old Bicester girl Amy, who is suffering from a rare form of bone cancer.
The money will be spent on giving her a holiday of a lifetime.
"Lots of people are running for worldwide organisations, so my wife and I thought it would be good to run for someone local," Mr Jones said.
