Lord Longford, the former don at Christ Church, Oxford whose friendship with Moors murderer Myra Hindley sparked national outrage, has left an estate valued at £285,097 in his will.
The 95-year-old life peer, who died last August and also held the title Lord Pakenham of Cowley, left the estate mostly to relatives. Probate has been granted to his daughter Lady Antonia Fraser Pinter.
