A woman who dropped out of Oxford University to pursue a career on the stage has been shaken and stirred by her first major dramatic challenge.
Rosamund Pike, 21, is set to appear on the big screen as a Bond villainess opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 20th 007 adventure. Shooting began at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire today.
Ms Pike, who read English Literature at Wadham College, is to play scientist Gala Brand, a baddie who eventually succumbs to Bond's legendary charms in the as yet untitled film.
