An Oxford man who spent three years serving cannabis in an Amsterdam caf has been jailed for storing a stash of drugs for his friends.
Colin Parrott, 36, of Dashwood Road, Rose Hill, appeared at Oxford Crown Court charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply, and a separate offence of possession of cannabis. His wife, Sarah, 34, was charged with possession of cannabis.
The couple, who have two children and are long-term cannabis users, admitted the charges. A quantity of the drug had been found in Colin Parrott's car during a search in George Street, Oxford, on June 11. When police searched the family home in Dashwood Road, they found more cannabis with a street value of £828 in two fish food containers.
Parrott was jailed for six months for possession with intent and one month for possession, sentences to run concurrently. Sarah Parrott was ordered to do 50 hours' community service.
