Places are still available on a residential course for young people who want to gain training in sports leadership.
The Junior Sports Leaders Award venture is run by Oxfordshire Association for Young People and takes place at Avon Tyrroll, Hampshire, from Monday, February 11 until Friday 15.
Costing £25, the course includes food and accommodation as well as outdoor recreational activities, a JSLA qualification and a first aid certificate.
The course, which is open to those aged 14 to 16, covers skills such as planning and organisation, health and safety, improvisation and adaptation, which can be used in other fields.
OAYP will support participants after the course to help them run courses in the community and assist local groups.
The closing date for subscriptions is Friday, January 25. For more information call Lindsey Gray on 01865 247427.
