The Abingdon branch of the Workers' Educational Association is running three courses.
A ten-week course called Science in Art from Antiquity to Quantum Physics will be led by Dr Willem Hackman, starting at 7pm on Thursday at 35 Ock Street. It is being run in association with the University of Oxford's Department for Continuing Education.
An eight-week course led by Rachel Miles, entitled The Clothes and Textiles of William Morris and the Arts and Crafts Movement begins at 10.15am at St Helen's Church Hall, West St Helen's Street, Abingdon, from Tuesday, January 22.
A six-week course on the Abingdon area 1550-1690, led by Manfred Brod, starts at 10.15am, also at St Helen's Church Hall, on February 21.
