Farmer David Holloway is hoping to buy and re-open the White Horse pub, Stonesfield, which has been closed and boarded up for several months.
The pub's owner, Ian Leslie, is seeking planning permission from West Oxfordshire District Council to convert the property into a house, claiming the pub -- one of two in the village -- was not viable.
