A London man is awaiting sentence after admitting possessing 21 wraps of crack cocaine in Oxford with intent to supply.
Richard Lumsden, 28, of Offord Road, Islington, London, pleaded guilty to the class A drugs offence at Oxford Crown Court on Monday.
When police raided a house in Falkland Close, Greater Leys, Oxford, on September 7 last year, Lumsden was sitting on a sofa in the living room.
He was found to have crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of £525, in heat-sealed polythene in his pockets.
Twenty of the wraps contained a total of 5.43g of crack cocaine, and one contained 221mg of the drug. He also had £330 in cash.
Lumsden, who had no previous convictions, initially denied the charge.
Defence barrister Terence Woods said Lumsden had delayed pleading guilty because he was frightened of going to prison.
Prosecutor John Simmons said the guilty plea was accepted on the basis that Lumsden had not come to Oxford to deal drugs, and that the cash would have only been used to fund his own habit.
