A 16-year-old Abingdon youth accused of raping a girl has appeared before magistrates again, pending his committal to Crown Court.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was granted conditional bail at Didcot Youth Court while police enquiries continue. He is to appear in court on February 8, when the case is expected to be referred to Oxford Crown Court.
Bail conditions include a 8pm-6am curfew. He is not allowed to communicate with prosecution witnesses and must report to Abingdon police station every Saturday.
The prosecution alleges that the youth raped a 13-year-old girl from Oxford in Abingdon on December 28.
