College lecturer Carl Brook has won a place in the final of one of the catering industry's most prestigious competitions.
Mr Brook, 43, is the chef lecturer at Banbury's North Oxfordshire College -- where top TV cook Gordon Ramsey trained.
Mr Brook reached the final of the Kikkoman Masters 2002 contest by creating two original recipes using Kikkoman soy sauce. The first prize in the competition is a ten-day trip to Japan to study oriental cuisine.
His winning dishes were Sweet Soy Glazed Salmon Tempura and a vegetarian meal of plums roasted with soy sauce.
The final is on Wednesday, February 6 at Hotel Olympia in Earls Court, London.
