Two men spotted by a security camera fighting in Oxford after a birthday drinking session have been sentenced to 120 hours' community service.
Jamie Newbiggin, of Poplar Grove, Kennington, and Lee Sharkey, of Peddle Hill, Radley, attacked two men in St Aldate's on October 12 last year.
A video tape played at Oxford Crown Court showed Newbiggin and Sharkey punching their victims, Terry Jones and Kevin Dearlove. Mr Jones suffered two cracked ribs. Mr Dearlove had a black eye and cuts to his head.
Newbiggin, 19, and Sharkey, 20, both pleaded guilty at Oxford Magistrates' Court to joint charges of actual bodily harm. The case was sent to the crown court for sentence.
Rachel Drake, defending, said they were full of remorse.
They were ordered to pay £150 compensation to Mr Jones and £50 to Mr Dearlove.
