The Holocaust is being remembered in Wantage after history student Georgina Dore set up an exhibition in the town's museum.
Georgina, 17, of Southmoor, is studying for A-levels, including history, at King Alfred's School, and wanted to make sure the town marked Holocaust Memorial Day on Sunday, January 27.
She decided to create the display after a visit to the site of the Auschwitz concentration camp, in Poland, last year.
The exhibition at the Vale and Downlands Museum, in Church Street, outlines the history of the Holocaust, when people who did not fit into Nazi ideals under Adolf Hitler's rule in Germany in the 1940s were persecuted.
The Jews were singled out as the key target and six million were killed in the Nazis' death camps.
The exhibition is at the museum until the end of this month.
