An Oxfordshire man is hoping to win a million pounds on a television game show.
Giles Haynes, of Freehold street, Lower Heyford, appeared on ITV's Who Wants to be a Millionaire? on Tuesday night.
The 39-year-old reached £2,000, but was stopped by the buzzer. He has used the 50/50 life-line, but he can still phone a friend -- one of which is his wife Charlotte, and ask the audience.
The father-of-two registered for the show after playing a computer game version of the show. He said: "We reached the million pound question twice. I have been nervous for about a month. Ideally I would like to get to a million, realistically I hope I get to at least £16,000."
