The Oxford English Dictionary Online has been updated today to include hundreds of new words.
The latest additions to the internet version of the world famous authority on the English language include the Japanese term karoshi meaning "death brought on by overwork or job-related exhaustion".
Other additions include the alternative therapy Ayurveda first -- and related terms dosha, kapha, vata and pitta.
New technology expands its presence in the dictionary with entries ranging from ethernet to hot-link.
More than 10,000 new entries have been added to the site on www.oed.com since March 2000. It also features a new search engine.
