A Bicester company is taking advantage of the success of the film Lord of the Rings by releasing a series of new products.
Ravensburger, of Avonbury Business Park, Howes Lane, recently won a three-year licence to supply jigsaw puzzles featuring characters from the movie.
The jigsaw puzzles start at 500 pieces and go up to a maximum of 1,500 pieces. The licence means when the next film in the trilogy is released in December next year, a new set of jigsaw puzzles will be launched.
Nicole Marenick, marketing manager, said the company was extending its range, which is currently geared towards pre-school children. She said: "The Lord of the Rings puzzles went on sale just before Christmas and we have had a good response."
Product manager Sarah Stevens is pictured trying to piece together a jigsaw. The company is about to show-off its new range of puzzles at the ExCel Exhibition Centre, in London.
Ravensburger still has a sales and marketing office in Bicester but the manufacturing side was moved to Germany and the Czech Republic several years ago.
