A Bicester comprehensive school hopes to run another course for former teachers to return to the classroom.
The first course started at Cooper School, Churchill Road, Bicester, in the autumn for 19 teachers, who were expected to go back into primary and secondary schools. As the course has been successful, the school wants to start another next September.
Pupils at local schools were given a letter to take home that appealed to former teachers and to tell them about the course. Out of 42 inquiries, a total of 19 former teachers signed up for the one-day-a-week sessions.
The course, funded through the Teacher Training Agency, covers recent changes in education and classroom techniques.
