Three workers were taken to The Horton Hospital in Banbury last night with breathing difficulties following a chemical spillage.
Thirty litres of a corrosive liquid was spilled at Hella Ltd, in Wildmere Road, when a pallet loaded with 24 HGV batteries was dislodged.
Two Banbury fire crews in protective suits used absorbent granules to soak up the acid.
The workers were not believed to have been detained in hospital.
