A teenager who had drank 16 cans of lager and snorted cocaine stabbed a friend during a drunken fight, a court heard.
Gary Davies, 19, stabbed Alexander Gardner with a flick knife on July 15 after they had been out drinking together, Oxford Crown Court was told yesterday.
They went to a pub with two friends in Eynsham and then to a birthday party, but were asked to leave and went to another party. They returned to Davies's home in Axtell Close, Kidlington, where an argument broke out.
Their friend, Simon Palmer, told the court Mr Gardner pushed Davies on the shoulder and headbutted him. He said Davies then thrust a knife into Mr Gardner's stomach causing a serious wound.
Davies, who denies wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and unlawful wounding, told police Mr Gardner he had "walked on to it".
The trial continues.
