The Irishman has had his licence withdrawn by the National Greyhound Racing Club for the second time in seven years following a positive urine sample taken from Apple Rambler at Wimbledon in October.
The sentence takes effect from February 1 and will last until January next year.
Apple Rambler tested positive for for the banned substance Lidocaine, which is said to have anaesthetic properties.
The dog finished last in a 460m hurdles open which supported the TV Trophy final.
