Pupils at Bartholomew School, in Eynsham, have been holding a series of fundraising events for the new leukaemia ward at Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital.
They have included sponsored football matches, cake sales and an ice skating trip. The latest event was held in the school hall on Friday and included a ball pool, cake sale and a table tennis tournament with a prize of two tickets to the film The Lords of the Rings.
The events have been staged by Year 8 pupils, aged 12 and 13. Head of year Terry Pearce said: "They decided to raise the money for the leukaemia ward because a former pupil is suffering from the disease."
The proceeds from the event on Friday will be added to the £400 raised since last October.
