An Oxfordshire game show contestant has failed in his quest to win a million pounds.
Giles Haynes, of Freehold Street, Lower Heyford, took up the challenge on ITV's Who Wants to be a Millionaire? on Saturday.
He answered the £4,000 question correctly by naming The Lion King as the Disney film featuring Sir Elton John's song Circle of Life.
But despite phoning a friend over which tycoon founded the Standard Oil Company, he wrongly chose John Paul Getty instead of Rockerfeller and came away with just £1,000.
Mr Haynes, 39, who works for Kingsground Narrowboats at the Upper Heyford industrial park, said: "I'm disappointed rather than despondent. I was very lucky to get on the show in the first place, and I had two wonderful days. They look after you very well."
He said the £1,000 would pay for a flight to visit friends on a Greek island with his wife, Charlotte, and children Douglas and Victoria.
