Oxfordshire County Council is recycling an increasing amount of its rubbish.
More than 60 per cent of council sites, excluding schools, now recycle at least one type of waste, which represents a two-fold increase on last year. The council now aims to achieve an 80 per cent recycling rate by 2003.
Liz Moore, the council's environmental management officer, said: "Staff are taking care to dispose of used paper and toner cartridges in recycling boxes."
